An exciting rumor has emerged for Diablo 2, which is the best example of hacking and slash role-playing games with an isometric perspective. The game can be remastered and returned this year.
Blizzard is one of the best-known game makers in the world and one of the games that owes this fame is the Diablo series. One of the games that has a special place among the fans of the series is Diablo 2.
Ever since Blizzard announced StarCraft: Remastered, fans of the company have been asking if we will see a similar revamped version for Diablo 2. David Brevik, project and design responsible for the original game, said it would be difficult for Blizzard to do so.
Vicarious Visions, a subsidiary of Activision, is working on a renewed Diablo 2 game that will be released in the fourth quarter of this year, according to reports based on the French site Actugaming. The name of the game will be Diablo 2 Resurrected. It is also worth remembering that Actugaming previously brought Diablo 4, Shadowlands and Overwatch 2 to the agenda before more formal statements were made.
On the other hand, Diablo 2 Remastered may not be able to give the players exactly what they expect from the series. Warcraft 3 Reforged remained in the class, both in terms of sales and critic reviews. The production, which has been at the bottom of Metacritic’s user evaluation for a while, also causes doubts for the renewed Diablo 2.
Blizzard Turns Old
The renewal of old games is not just something Blizzard does. Many companies renew their old games by making them compatible with modern computers. Age of Empires succeeded in doing this 2 times successfully.
On the other hand, Blizzard does not have the same success as Microsoft. Although there are many different reasons for this, basically, it can be shown that the company lost its assets regarding the original games after the past crises and employees who left. David Brevik also drew attention to this point.
What do you think about Diablo 2 Resurrected? Do you buy and play when the game is released?
